With the introduction of CAD in the mid ‘80s, design concepts and output were vastly improved. My involvement with CAD began almost as soon as systems became available.  A rather large home re-mortgage gave me the opportunity to purchase my own system which I then used in my capacity as a contract/freelance CAD designer.
