Toolmaker apprenticeships involved learning to operate the machines shop equipment, from The transition from Toolroom machine shop to Drawing office was a move designed to stimulate my creativeness.


Using AutoCAD v14, I became a freelance contractor with my own CAD workstation.
CAD at that time was relatively new and I was able to work in many different workshop environments. (Steelworks, Sugar refinery, Breweries, Consultancy offices, Fabrication shops)
Work in a drawing office was intense due to the need to produce finished designs quickly. Accuracy was an important skill to be learned.
